Her group is involved in the isolation, identification, characterization and preservation of fungi for more than 20 years. During the last few years we focus our attention on the fungal communities associated of different marine environments and to seriously polluted environments. In the MUT collection that currently preserve more than 6000 fungal strains, are preserved many Black Fungi that in several cases have already been screened for several physiological features as the capability to transform several recalcitrant pollutants or produce biosurfactants.
